Argon

Argon is a colorless and odorless inert gas. Most commonly used as a shielding gas for welding applications or high-temperature heat treating, Argon has many other uses. Argon is available in compressed gas cylinders, as well as refrigerated liquid cylinders, and even high volume and high pressure banks. Either by itself or mixed with other gases Argon continues to be the leading component in most welding applications. Argon has been found to enhance arc stability and other characteristics during the welding process.
